sutman

German: ‘Schutzmann’.

Mühlhäusler (1979: 200, 205) makes the attribution to German ‘Schutzmann’ (from Schutz, ‘protect’), remarking that the stem sut is now interpreted as ‘to shoot’. However, though perhaps once heard, sutman is not a standard usage. Mihalic only lists sutboi.

(No Mihalic entry)
® sutboi.
