Surprisingly, this is not listed by Mihalic. However, many accounts of early missions show that this was a common term of address for missionaries. For example: ‘Oh Miti! I wish you had come when I was young! Now I have to watch as the young men learn so easily, but for me it is most difficult to learn!’ Keysser (1986: 30).
