Source language unclear: any clues?
In lowland and coastal areas, betel plam is planted and harvested. At middle altitudes, above where betel bears fruit, kapipi comes into its own as is typically viewed as buai bilong mipela, by groups who have no access to the real thing, or as an emergency replacement for betel nut, by those who do, when betel is in seasonally short supply.
